Our Relationship

In the summer of 2018, Thad and Alexis crossed paths in Orlando. Thad was there for a work project, and Alexis had just graduated from UCF. That summer, they started casually dating whenever Thad was in town. As luck would have it, Thad’s project wrapped up right around the time Alexis accepted a job in Jacksonville. Neither wanted to part ways, so Thad invited Alexis to visit him in D.C. for a weekend getaway. That trip was the start of a relationship that’s lasted over six years (and counting). Along the way, it’s led to Alexis moving to D.C., a cross-country road trip, adventures around the world, buying their first home, a proposal, and building a close-knit community of friends and lasting memories in D.C.
